This unique malt builds richness and complexity in lighter colored and lighter gravity beers to achieve flavors that are often associated with darker, higher gravity styles. It's made with high-quality North American 2-row malting barley that's carefully selected, germinated, kilned, and drum roasted using a proprietary process that develops both caramel and dry roasted flavors. This malt yields a sweet flavor with notes of toasted marshmallow, toast, mild coffee, prunes, and wood. It also contributes a dark red to deep copper color to finished beers. Use this malt as up to 5% of your mash bill to add background notes of wood, dried fruit, and sweetness, at 5-10% to add a red color and toffee aroma to Belgian and English ales or porters, or at 10-15% for deep reddish brown hues, full malty body, and a pronounced raisiny, toasted aroma in doppelbocks and Irish stouts.

This malt has 2.5% moisture and a 73% yield on grind. This roasted malt yields an SRM of 130 for a rich red color. It's perfect for use in commercial breweries and is available in a 50 lb. bulk bag to keep your operation well-stocked! To preserve this product's freshness and ensure the best flavor, it's recommended to store your malt in a low-humidity environment at temperatures under 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
