I have been using this commercial grade stand mixer for over 2 years now and it is the best stand mixer that I have ever used! Even though I am using this at home, I find this stand mixer to be much better than the residential KitchenAid stand mixer that I use to use for years. With my old residential one, there were times I was concerned with wearing out the motor with the way it was sounding. But with this thing, I have made heavy doughs with no concern of burning out the motor. The fact that I can fit it under residential kitchen cabinets and not have to move it out when I load it up is a great space saver.

I am surprised by the abundance of five-star reviews for this product. My first one burned out after a month or so of what I would consider pretty light use in a professional setting. Which is to say, large batches of cookie dough twice a week, along with some small batches of brioche, challah, and croissant dough. Kitchenaid quickly replaced it but now I am quite shy about pressing its capabilities. Unless I am mixing something really light, I reduce the quantity dramatically. It is not hard to stress the motor at all, and when you do it makes some frightening noises that sound like plastic crumbling and snapping. Holy Smokes! For 6 years i have been baking around 100 loaves of quick bread with a Kitchen Aid Mixer i bought in the LATE 70'S! I sell all summer at 5 different Farmers Markets, so my mixer is going all the time. Why didn't i get this wonderful 8 qt mixer years ago? Yes u have to adjust your recipes, yes u have to strengthen your forearms and wrists (ha ha) but man can u bake bread! Cutting my baking time down a third for sure. True Kitchen Aid dependability, Motor on this commercial unit is awesome. Have not moved past speed 2 yet! Please get this mixer. You won't regret it . Also, let me save you some time researching $$$$. This is the best deal on the internet to my knowledge. Searched for hours. Webstaurant is fast and dependable for me.

After almost a year of use I had an issue. It was by far the easiest warranty claim EVER. One phone call, I had a whole new mixer in two days with a return shipping label for the old one. Great product, great service

I am in love with this mixer. I know it says it is 'commercial' but really it is perfect for the home chef who makes large batches of things. I have a 20 year old 5 qt Kitchenaid that still works perfectly, but can't handle the capacity of many of my recipes...It ends up a big mess of flour or powdered sugar everywhere. I just used this 8qt mixer to make a batch of buttercream frosting which calls for 2 lbs of powdered sugar...Not a bit flew out onto the counter--The bowl had room to contain it all! And, if you watch carefully, the mixer will occasionally go on sale for 25% off! This is the best deal around!

I purchased this mixer Sep 11,2015 from Webstaurant store. My bakery opened November 17, 2015. I have been using this mixer since November 15, 2015, 2 days before opening day. This is the worst mixer I have ever used!!. I stopped using this mixer because it is literally falling apart. The beater bar makes a terrible noise. The wire whip is garbage and looks like it is mangled together. It does not work on high speed except only on occasions. It will just stop while it is on. very disappointed with the service from kitchen aid....mine is less than a year old and the lever that lift the bowl no longer works, the speed selector when going past speed 2 will turn off the mixer unless I move it very quickly...also the handle for the bowl has fallen off...it is very difficult to get through to the support and I got transferred so many times only to end up at a voice mail where my call was never returned ...I can not recommend this mixer

I have a medium size bakery/deli that really puts the kitchenAid to some hard task. i'm going on to 4 years since purchase and it is still working like the first day I got it. I do recommend if you are going to use it in a commercial environment, to add an extra bowl and attachment as the only thing that will slow this kitchenAid mixer is the time it takes for you to clean the bowl and attachment for the next task.

This baby is a serious work horse! Don't hesitate if making a decision to buy this. We have a high volume cafe and bake our own cakes and pies as well as make all the frostings for the cakes and this sweet baby gets the job done effortlessly! I can't live without it!

I found that this mixer is rendered totally useless as it has no available splash guard and the batter splashes out of the bowl at speed 4 and goes all over the place. I used the same batter in my 7 quart mixer ( from another manufacturer ) and have no problem. I thought I would be able to use more batter in the 8 quart mixer. I will never use this mixer again. I have used it once & will never use it again. It is useless. I spent a lot of money on it - don't waste yours. I would rate this no stars but not given that option.

I purchased this commercial KitchenAid and it works great, but everytime I even just barely touch the bowl to the mixer it scratches...I've only had it a couple of months but it looks old due to the scratches all over it, it works great but the paint on it is awful - was hoping it would look as good as it works, but it doesn't...for the price, disappointed.

This small, economical mixer is a trooper. We make a ton of frosting in it on a daily basis and it handles it well. The only bad thing is that the bowls are different from our prior Kitchenaid mixer so we had to buy all new bowls which is quite costly! We normally service our mixers 1x a year to have them opened and cleaned out due to powdered sugar and cocoa traveling into the gears. I am sure this helps in longevity.

Do not buy this for your commercial bakery. Broke within 2 1/2 years. Engine kicked the bucket. Not worth the price and kitchenaid customer service is useless!

I use this every weekend to make anywhere from 8 to 20 loaves of sourdough. It has held up beautifully! My only complaint is that sometimes the dough climbs the dough hook.

Absolutely love this mixer. My 6 quart white KitchenAid mixer died after many, many years and it was time for an upgrade. The 8 quart is wonderful and the price was good. It can do 4 cookie recipes at the same time, simplifying the cookie house process and helping me get done faster when company comes.

I bought a white one, and a red on in September of 22 for our commercial kitchen. The red one is holding on with no issues, but the white one the lever to lift the bowl up and down no longer works, which pretty much renders the mixer useless unless you want to hold the bowl up yourself! I clean it after every use so I didn't expect this kind of wear and tear after barely over a year! Our previous kitchen aids we used for our commercial kitchen lasted 5 years before having issues with increasing speed and we had to replace them
