Monin Cookie Butter Flavoring Syrup 750 mL

Ok, I'm not gonna sugar-coat it (this stuff's disgustingly sweet enough), this flavor's a train-wreck: Having just had cookie-butter for the first time right before I ordered this, I was excited to get that flavor in my lattes.. I try to find redeeming qualities in these flavored syrups since they can't always quite hit the mark, and can be understanding when something just doesn't taste quite as expected, but I can't lie to you: this flavor is BAD. At it's best it's vaguely short-bready and at it's worst it's completely overshadowed by them going overkill on what tastes like cinnamon that's painfully artificial; In short, this tastes as far away as it can from cookie-butter as it can without being a fruit-flavor. Now maybe I got unlucky a "bad-batch", maybe my expectations were too high for this one and the disappointment hurt, but I can't even think recommend this unless you're a fan of "bready, watered-down fireball whisky (without the heat) that's been drowned in sugar." Don't disregard Monin for this bad flavor, they're usually great, just don't buy this particular one.

This stuff works great. I would say it tastes a lot like cookie butter but more the generic one (NOT Biscoff).

These syrups are a great price, the cookie butter flavor has a very buttery, smooth taste. I like to mix this one with the taramisu syrup for a great combination.

Another reviewer mentioned speculoos: which, to me, feels nearly on-target. Once, I had been so fond of Lotus Biscoff cookies? I'd purchase them by the case: to be shipped to my doorstep. If this syrup has a cinnamon note, I can't detect it. What I tried was mixing an Italian soda (or virgin cocktail...call it what you will) containing both a generous portion of Monin's Cookie Butter syrup, plus a dollop of DaVinci's Madagascar Vanilla. The combination was reminiscent of a sugar cookie: cooked golden brown, and only recently out of the oven. It's an extraordinarily tempting flavor. Another Monin flavor I've tried—Blueberry—has a pleasing but strong flavor; you need to use a gentle hand. I can imagine becoming extremely fond of this Cookie Butter syrup. Subtle and exquisite.

We had high hopes for this syrup that didn't quite pan out. Maybe it's just because we're used to the Da Vinci syrups, but the Cookie Butter along with several other Monin syrups were NOT sweet enough. Very sharp, alcohol-y, almost acidic. We have struggled to find a flavor combo that worked with this flavor and will likely not buy it again.

I'm a big fan of Monin syrups, but this one I would just say its okay. Its hard to imagine the cookie flavor until you try it. Not sure what I expected, but wish it had a more classic cookie flavor vs. this. Almost like a gingerbread type cookie minus the ginger or maybe the type in those old tin cans your grandma would have. Not bad at all, but not quite my preference.

This is a light flavored syrup. We like the taste of it, but have to combine it with other flavors to make it strong enough. Or add extra syrup to make the taste strong enough.

We had to see what all the "cookie butter" buzz going on was about...Great flavor but kind of hard to describe! Almost like peanut butter, but made from mashed cookies instead of peanuts. Rich and buttery, but slightly sweet too. We use this with real cookies in a Cookie Monster Frappe at our small coffee shop and its a huge hit! Unbelievable price for Monin product too!

What a fun and unique flavor of syrup. This is a popular one. It is really tasty and can be used in espresso drinks for a perfect pairing.

While we do not use this flavoring syrup as often as we like, it is still delicious and it is also one of my favorites. It is not as sweet as the name suggests but I still think it is a great syrup to use if you are making a cup of coffee and want a little bit of flavor.

This flavor was a flop for us. Cookie Butter tastes like animal crackers with pink icing. In theory it should make a tasty latte, but it just doesn't work. None of our staff and none of our customers were impressed. We sold through the bottle and will not be reordering this flavor.

A nice and subtle change of pace for your morning coffee concoctions. It does get overwhelmed with strong/dark coffees, so keep it light and it adds a nice touch.

This tastes like sugar cookie dough flavoring. I used it in my cappuccino coffee and it seems to just add sugary vanilla flavoring to it. Its good but it's very simular to my home made sweetened condensed milk I usually add to my coffee.
