Mercer Culinary M14510 10" Regular Cut Knife Sharpening Steel with Black Plastic Handle

I have been using this honing/sharpening steel for over 7 years now, and it's performed great and held up very well. Honestly I like it better than my old Wusthoff. Take a close look at the handle and you'll see it's grippy and comfortable, and has a big protective barrier to keep your blade away from your hands so that you can work fast and not worry about slipping. Plus it has a ring for hanging, and comes in a 12" length. I'm helping somebody set up her kitchen and am recommending this steel BOTH for its performance and its value.

This is a good sharpening steel. This is my second mercer steel i've had, and my first is still in use at my house; they're durable.

This knife sharpening steel is a good quality. The steel sharpens our knives well, the plastic handle is easy to grip, and the hangtag makes it easy to store.

I must have with anybody who has knives in the kitchen which is everybody it keeps your blades nice and sharp that you can use it a couple times a day to be able to maintain your knives.

Cheap and works well. I didn't think that the grain on the steel would be as coarse as it is. Sharpens up my knives nicely so I'm satisfied.

This steel is wonderful - It's long and perfect for a variety of knives. This is also a softer rod. I have found that with diamond and harder metals, the rods can often be too abrasive and end up blunting your knives. WOuld highly recommend this rod over diamond.

Love this knife sharpening steel. Despite it has a plastic handle, the steel looks well made to hold up for daily to keep your knifes sharp. Sharpened up my knives really good today!
