This arborist's trimming tool weighs 13.2 lb. with the battery in place for reduced operator fatigue and is compatible with Makita 40V MAX XGT lithium-ion batteries and chargers.

This trimmer features a lever-style lock system for quick tool-less attachment installation and a reverse (clockwise) rotation system that keeps the trimmer head free of grass and weeds. It also features IPX4 weather-resistant construction for durability and longer equipment life. The trimmer features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), which protects the unit from excess dirt, debris, water, or mud during intense jobs and is compatible with Makita couple shaft attachments (sold separately).

This trimmer includes (1) 40V MAX XGT lithium-ion 4.0 Ah battery and 1 charger. The battery features 4 green LED indicators that show the charge level clearly as well as rails, an impact-resistant outer case, and a shock-absorbing inner liner engineered to protect the battery and ensure it remains securely attached to the tool. The charger allows the batteries to reach a full charge in just 45 minutes and features a digital display that indicates the battery charge level. This trimmer is only for use with Makita batteries and chargers.
