Koala Kare KB300 and KB301 Baby Changing Stations Installation
This video will show you how to install the Koala Kare KB300 and KB301 baby changing stations.
Thank you for choosing the KB300 or KB301 baby changing station from Koala Kare. Before beginning please review the installation instructions and tool list. Also check your local building codes for compliance requirements. Remove the bag hook from the packaging.
To begin, place the unit face down on a flat surface. Pull up on the frame to remove the plastic liner dispenser, and put it aside. Measure and mark the desired mounting location on the wall stud center. From the finished floor, measure 37 7/16" (951mm). From that point, measure across 16" (406mm). Use the level and mark the second mounting location. The frame has 2 key-holed hangers at 16" centers for easy installation. Pre-drill and screw in the provided mounting screws. Be sure to leave approximately 1/4" (6mm) of thread exposed for hanging the unit.
Lift the unit and locate the key-holed mounting holes over the mounting screws. This may be easier with the assistance of a second person. Mark and pre-drill for the remaining mounting screws. Secure the unit through the remaining mounting holes with the provided screws. Then, tighten the upper mounting screws.
With the unit open, position the liner dispenser over the metal frame. Use the provided key to open the liner dispenser. This will provide access to the 4 mounting holes. Use the provided hardware to secure the liner dispenser to the metal frame. Now, lock the liner dispenser and close the unit.
Test the unit by opening and closing it multiple times, ensuring it opens and closes smoothly. Remove the protective film.
To install the bag hook, position it on the wall in the desired location over a stud for optimal strength. The bag hook is to be installed 44" (1118mm) from the finished floor to the top of the mounting plate. Mark and pre-drill the mounting holes. Use the provided screws to secure the bag hook in position. Then, take the escutcheon plate and screw it over the mounting plate to cover the mounting screws.
