Equip your toolbox with this Klein Tools voltage tester pen. This pen is designed for HVAC applications. It provides non-contact detection of AC voltage in cables, cords, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and wires. It can also detect AC voltage in security, entertainment, communications, environmental control, and irrigation systems. It is capable of detecting AC voltage from 12V to 1000V, and it emits a high-intensity, bright red LED light and audible warning tone sounds. The backlit LCD display has a 0.1 degree resolution for clear visibility in low-light conditions.
This unit also features an IR thermometer with a 4:1 distance-to-spot ratio and selectable Fahrenheit and Celsius readings. It is capable of reading temperatures from - 22 to 482 degrees Fahrenheit (-30 to 250 degrees Celsius). It also includes a convenient laser pointer to target the measurement area for precise temperature measurement.
This unit comes with (2) AAA batteries for operation, and it includes an auto power-off feature to conserve battery life. The screw-thread battery cap has an O-ring that provides a dust- and water-resistant seal to protect the batteries. This durable unit is drop tested for up to 6' 6". It is compact and light weight with a pocket clip for convenient storage and transport. This voltage tester pen meets CAT IV 1000V standards.
