Have been using hoshizaki for years in my other restaurants. This time I am extremely disappointed. A brand new machine used for 7 months failed. I called hoshizaki Dallas because it’s supposed to have 5 year parts and labor warranty. The technician came and found out the ice cube guide was stuck open. The machine was installed by professionals on top of a soda dispenser which makes it 10 feet above ground. I was later billed for a labor and travel fee. Called in again to reason with the rep and the rude lady that picked up stated the issue is not under warranty because someone could have lifted the ice cube guide open or someone could have bumped into the machine. The machine has not been touched since installation and it’s installed on top of a soda dispenser. The rep said I have no proof that no one has touched it. I have cameras throughout my restaurant if you want to see proof.

Compressor failed after three years of service (purchased 3/2022). Previous Hoshizaki lasted 9+ years. Very disappointed. According to my technician, even the nickel that lines ice trays has dimpled and is worn. Will not purchase again.
