I use this chute daily for slicing natural cased pepperoni and red onion. By quartering the onions then filling the chute I can fill a full pan quickly, with a great looking product. For the pepperoni, this allows for maintaining a consistent and custom thickness that really delivers the product I need. Set-up, break-down and clean-up are quick and easy. I've also found myself utilizing this chute to slice tomatoes for sub platters, a great time-saver. Get the most out of your Hobart Slicer by utilizing this great accessory! The only flaw I've come across is the hand weight, if dropped on lower gauge steel or aluminum surfaces, it can definitely puncture the work top (or a poorly placed sink in my situation).
