Commercial food service operators know all too well how manual slicing can be time-consuming, labor-intensive, inconsistent, and often results in costly product waste. What if there was a way to cut prep time in half, increase yields, lower labor costs, produce consistent slices, and reduce waste?
Now there is. Introducing Edmond's Model 350 series electric slicers.
When you have to prepare hundreds of meals a day, nothing cuts prep time like the model 350 at least twice as fast as slicing by hand. Imagine your prep cook slicing 20 tomatoes in just 60 seconds. Or completing an entire case in less than five minutes.
The 350’s precision reciprocating blade system maximizes yield while reducing costly product waste. You'll get up to 30% more from each tomato adding to your bottom line.
Our unique design allows you to slice even the ripest softest tomatoes with clean-cut uniformity.
The Edlin 350 Slicer is available in two models, the standard and XL, both featuring easily interchangeable blade cartridges available in three slice widths.
Whether you are topping hamburgers with thin tomato slices or finishing off a Caesar salad with a thicker slice of chicken breast, the Edlin 350 is an excellent way to manage portion control by creating consistent slices from a wide variety of products. From fruits including tomatoes, kiwis, strawberries, lemons, limes, and oranges to vegetables such as mushrooms, peppers, cucumbers, and eggplant. Even fresh mozzarella cheese. Nothing matches the versatility of Edwin's Electric Slicer.
Our Model 350 XL with its longer pusher and blade cartridge is perfect for slicing larger items like cooked chicken breasts directly onto fajitas and Caesar salads.
Like all of Edwin's NSF and UL Certified Kitchen Products, the Model 350 Slicer is designed with sanitation and operator safety in mind. Built-in adjustable interlock switches, safety shields, and a stainless steel wash guard allow your kitchen staff to operate the 350 with complete confidence.
All 350 slicer models are manufactured in the USA to Edwin's high-quality standards. Made of stainless steel and rustproof aluminum, and powered by a heavy-duty motor. All Model 350 slicers are built for years of reliable trouble-free operation
Edwin's Model 350 electric slicer is easy to learn how to operate, clean, and maintain. Before plugging in the unit, place the slicer securely on a level surface and lower the pusher assembly to make sure the pusher fingers are centered between the blades. Return the pusher assembly to its upright position, plug it in, and turn the power switch to on.
Notice that the blades do not operate until the safety guards are in place.
Depending on the height of the product being sliced, it may be necessary to adjust the position at which the motor starts. For thicker products, set the screw in the adjustment plate more toward the right side of the slot.
When slicing thinner foods set the screw toward the left. Center the product on the blades, and begin to lower the pusher. When the motor starts apply light consistent pressure until the item has been completely sliced.
Unlike many manual slicers, the Model 350 electric slicer requires very little force on the pusher to operate the unit. Simply let the power of the reciprocating blades do the work for you. The weight of the pusher assembly is usually enough to slice through most products. The ultra-thin serrated blades are designed for maximum efficiency and long life when slicing soft fruits and vegetables.; The heavy-duty motor is protected from accidental overload by a built-in circuit breaker to ensure consistent reliability. The Model 350 is not recommended for slicing hard or dense products like potatoes and onions.
Edlin knows the importance of maintaining high productivity and minimizing equipment downtime. Each model 350 slicer comes complete with an additional blade cartridge in the wash guard. If the original cartridge becomes dull or is damaged, return it to the factory for reconditioning. The additional cartridge assures that there will be no interruption of your operation.
Many of our customers appreciate the versatility of being able to change from thicker to thinner slices in just seconds, additional pushers and blade cartridges can be purchased separately
To change the blade cartridge, first turn off the power switch and unplug the cord.
Then unscrew and remove the pusher assembly.
Slide the latch and lift off the stainless steel cover.
Once the cover is removed, the safety interlock switch prevents the motor from turning on. Next, turn the adjusting wheel until the blade cartridge is in the fully closed position. Place the wash guard over the blades. Close the latch and tighten the locking screw to remove the cartridge.
The pusher cover and cartridge can now be washed in either a three-compartment sink or run through a high-temperature nonchemical dishwasher. Simply wipe the frame and motor housing clean with a damp cloth.
When you reassemble the slicer, make sure that the pins fully engage both holes and the nylon guides Rest solidly on the frame.
Replace the cover.
Tighten the pusher assembly knob.
Each time you reassemble or change slice thickness, remember to test the clearance between the pusher fingers and the blades. Your slicer is now ready to operate.
The Edlin Model 350 Electric Slicer has been designed for reliability and long life and is backed by a one-year warranty.
If cutting prep time, increasing yields at lowering labor costs is important to your bottom line. Our Model 350 series works better no matter how you slice it.
