Food safety is the name of the game in the foodservice industry and whether you are checking a delivery of frozen sirloin steaks, or cooking and holding a pork roast, food-safe temperatures must be maintained. Cooper-Atkins has developed the EconoTemp line of thermocouples and kits to assist you with your food safety program. The 94020-K EconoTemp combo pack includes a 32311-K thermocouple, featuring a protective rubber boot which makes the instrument easy to grip, as well as water- and shock- resistant.

With a measuring range of -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and accuracy within + / - 2 degrees of the temperature reading, the thermocouple will give you a precise reading on everything from frozen fish filets, to raw hamburger meat, to a pot of chicken noodle soup. You can easily toggle back and forth between Fahrenheit and Celsius using the F/C button and the included AAA batteries provide 4500 hours of use. After 10 minutes of non-use, the automatic shut-off feature is enabled to conserve battery power.

Also included, the DirectConnect DuraNeedle probe is designed to plug directly into the thermocouple, allowing for one-handed operation. Other probes require the use of two hands, one to hold the thermocouple, and one to hold the probe. This probe has no cable and because it connects directly with the thermocouple, it can be easily held with one hand. For added convenience, you can swap out the DirectConnect for any of Cooper-Atkins K-type probes (sold separately).
