The probe features an impressive temperature range, measuring from -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit in just 2 seconds. Such a quick response time is made possible by using a drop of oil on the surface being measured, which helps to conduct the heat. For easy, comfortable use, the instrument includes a heat resistant phenolic handle, making it excellent for high-heat applications.
Encasing the cable is a sheath of stainless steel, which is protective up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It's flexible design moves with the cable it covers, simplifying movement and promoting efficient operation.
