After use, clean the machine and its parts to ensure that it's ready for the next batch. The machine worked great for my restaurant for the first 12 months. My customers loved the addition of having freshly made ice cream on the menu. We only make about 2 batches a week. So I would say it would be considered light to moderate use. However, after 12 months the machine doesn't shut itself off anymore after it reaches the desired consistency. Instead it over churns and starts making a grinding noise. It is so disappointing after spending so much on this unit that it has only lasted this long.
