Vollrath 40758 30 Qt. Planetary Floor Mixer with Guard & Standard Accessories - 120V, 1 hp

This is the first time we've strayed from the Hobart brand, and we're very pleased so far. The mixer seems to be equal quality. We've only had it for about 3 months, but no issues so far. The digital auto shut-off timer is a great feature. It also shuts itself off if you're mixing a big batch of dough and it starts to wobble too much.

Have been using this since August 2021 and the motor has already burnt out once and it sounds like it's about to give out a second time. We use it at most for an hour and 30 minutes each week. The only reason I'm writing this review is because I'm trying to figure out what to do now so I took a look again at the product page and saw another reviewer had the same exact issue as me! So I think the more people that are warned the better. Buyer beware.

Vollrath's commercial mixer is sturdy and reliable. It's made from good quality materials and has held up in our busy bakery. We mix everything from bread to cookie dough in it. Great buy!

Not happy with this item First gear on mixer throws flour out of bowl approximately 1 minute after it starts Then it works fine Makes a mess by doing this complained to webstaurant store customer service after first use and was told machine is now used cannot be returned Vollrath explanation is to change the way we make our dough funny thing my 30 qt Hobart mixers do not do this

Worse mixer to buy. motor has gone out twice already in 18 months. We are a very busy pizza place and now are with out a mixer. No customer service at all.

Only lasted for 3 years and gears needs to be replaced

I received this last Christmas, and used it this year for large batches of breads and cookie doughs, it works great and is a workhorse. My arms don't hurt from stirring large bowls, it was all done by the mixer. Thanks so much.

I absolutely love this machine. I make lots of batches of pie crust and I can put 27 cups of flour and all the rest of the stuff and it knead my crust prefect every time

So far so good. Seems to be well built, even though it's made in Taiwan. Operates smoothly. No complaints. Would purchase another one based on this one.

This mixer is perfect to set on a small table. It can handle large loads of heavy bagel dough with ease and yet stays put without a whole lot of movement. Also the controls are easy to use and the manual lift works great.

This is a very heavy-duty mixer that will last a lifetime. We have a few of these, and have never had a problem with any of them. They have a lot of power and are easy to fit the bowl into the bowl lift.

Another great product. We used a Hobart at our other bakery and wanted to try the Vollrath because of other reviews. This thing works great and we have been using over a year. We have never had any problems and love the product!

I am quite pleased with my purchase of this Vollrath 10 quart commercial planetary stand mixer it is working fantastic I’m surprised on how quiet it is it’s working really good for making small batches of dough for bread I can handle about 5 to 7 pounds of though

The Vollrath 40757 Commercial Planetary Stand Mixer is a pretty solid mixer for our needs. We use this mixer for some of our baked goods and we're quite satisfied.

This mixer is great, but the bowl guard is plastic. Mine already broke in a key place causing the safety to turn off the mixer during bread batches very frustrating. I'll have to call the company to see if its covered. Some of the attachments are a pain to put on and take off, but other then that a decent product overall.

The Vollrath 40757 20 Qt. Commercial Mixer with Guard is outstanding. It works well and is a very sturdy, reliable machine. I would recommend it!

Great Mixer. Mixes very evenly and allows us to do small batches throughout the day so that our product is as fresh as it can be. Make sure you order an extra bowl to make life easier.

This is great little mixer its perfect for making dough four full Pullman loafs at once. I've put this mixer to the test and it hasn't let me down yet. also love the digital timer. W hat a great value.

This is a good countertop commercial mixer! It is great for any task small or large!! Nice non skid base! Easy to navigate electric controls!!!

I purchased this item with extended warranty. After less than two years, there is grinding noise from inside while working. I contacted the manufacturer and they only provide 1 year warranty labor & parts and two year part only warranty. I reached out to webstaurant representative and they say they can do nothing because it is still under the two year warranty. So they expect me to fix it all by myself? Not happy with the quality of this product. The representative from webstaurant disconnect our conversation even before I finished my questions.

This mixer does a great job for all purposes and very easy to operate. The mixer itself is incredibly quiet while running, but the bowl can make some rattling noises a bit when mixing lower hydration doughs or some smaller batches of things like cookie dough or similar. Honestly, not a big deal for me and it's a very small little thing compared to all of the upsides of this mixer.

Ordered mine last summer for a camp. It arrived wrapped up in cellophane on a wooden crate. It sat in a warehouse for a month before it came to the camp. When I opened it, the top cover and the base of the unit was cracked. Neither Webstaurant or Volraith would do anything about it since it wasn't inspected immediately. INSPECT THE UNIT IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL... 2 weeks into usage a belt broke and had to replace, cost 200 for a set of 3 belts on a brand new unit...

Smooth and powerful. This mixer works very well and has really nice controls. No surprise, as it is a Vollrath! If it continues to impress, I'm sure I will be buying the larger models in the future.

Excellent operation, quality construction, fast delivery. Went with 7 of these when our first choice of Globe mixers had major supply issues. Surprisingly quiet even when all are being used at the same time. Heavier than expected but that’s from less plastic than other mixers. Getting the mixing bowl in and out of place again is a bit tricky. So glad we went with these!

This is a good size between the small Kitchenaid and the giant ones found the in the kitchen. This fit under my counter at home which is great.

very good and strong mixer. I use for my breads doughs and it mixe perfectly. Never use for to make meringue. easy to clean also. I do not regret my purchase!

This mixer is a work horse and has been doing great. I was debating for a while between the 20Qt and the 30Qt. And while the 30Qt probably would have been great, I really have been pleased with this size and how much easier/more efficient it has made things compared to your standard 5qt mixer. Has good safety features, a standard plug, looks sleek, and works well. can packaged nicely as well. Definitely a great pick from the mixers in this realm.

I have bought this mixer to use it for both, standard and heavy duty. I can prepare perfectly 10 pounds of pizza dough on it. When I use it for heavy duty, prepare half that weigh.

I have not had a problem with this mixer yet. I have used it probably about 15 times. My granola mix is pretty tough, but this mixer stands up to it well.

I had kitchenaid in the past and I was looking at Hobart and Vollrath. This is a good mixer. I have it for 5 months. It stopped working after the first two months. I called Vollrath and they are very helpful in walking me through the problem. The safety guard makes it hard to clean or it will caused the machine will not start. Overall, I am happy with the machine.

Works great and is a perfect small batch mixer. The cover is a little funky and hard to add ingredients thru when the mixer is working.

This mixer is a good work horse but I have been disappointed with a few key things. It is really hard to clean, you have to take the safety guards off to really get it clean on the underside.We have also had major problems engaging the safety latch. Vollrath just sent us a piece that in theory will help, we'll see.

Good little workhorse. Can do triple cookies batches. Smooth operation. Quiet. Superb engineering. I like the weight being only 52 pounds. I use it everyday. And! AMERICAN MADE! Hope to see it last a long time.
