Town 47322 8" Medium Blade One-Piece Stainless Steel Cleaver

Solid and sturdy is metal handle that is part of the blade. Decently sharp but not enough to blow your mind. Will definitely cleave as needed though I was suprised to read on the label that is is not intended for cutting bone. So if you need a cleaver that can handle tougher bone cutting tasks keep that in mind.

I'll admit, I don't always use this for the correct reasons, but this thing chops frozen bananas like a pro. I also use it for all sorts of other things like bulk chopping onions for French onion soup. Could be sharper out of the box.

This is one cleaver that can withstand a lot of use! I have used this everyday in my kitchen for months and haven't had to sharpen it once. The blade is very sharp and it is far from being flimsy.

A well made one piece cleaver. It has a good weight to it and you can chop through some food quite easily. It should be a little sharper out of the box, but that is not a big deal at this price. You probably only need to buy one of these, as it should last pretty much forever if you take care of it.

This cleaver is very tough especially for the price. Just used it this past Thanksgiving to spatchcock the turkey. It went threw the ribs and bones like a champ. Plus it has a nice sharp edge already on it for finer cutting.

These cleaver is very useful at our restaurant for chopping chicken for our tacos. Is lightweight but enough weight to cut poultry. Good price value for the quality of the product

strong but not too heavy good for chop ready to eat food. Chinese restaurant will use a lot. don't chop for bone. don't just buy one item combo your order save money on shiping.

Very well built and reasonably priced cleaver. It easily hacks through anything you would need it to. It will last for many years with minimal care.

While I prefer the Town 47313 light cleaver over this one it in no way is due to any negative issues with this knife, it simply comes down to preference (my father actually prefers this knife over the smaller one). This is a fantastic knife for slicing, mincing and chopping herbs, vegetables and boneless meats. It is easy to clean and sturdy. You can also use the spine to tenderize meats and the handle to grind up dried herbs and such. The original food processor lol.

Excellent cleaver, nice balance weight and easy to handle. I use this to chop beef brisket, and occasionally to separate ribs. It cleans up nicely and is a must have in your arsenal.

This knife is incredible for the price. It came with a very nice edge already on it. It is one single piece so it will not break, and stainless steel will not corrode. It is well-weighted but hasn't fatigued my wrists because it does most of the work. It worked wonders on some melons, pineapples and veggies for me as soon as it arrived and received a good wash because it is easy to guide and very sharp. It slices, rocks and chops differently but just as good as a French blade. I like the high profile because it gives a lot of clearance while guiding the blade with my knuckles, makes it harder to get yourself with the heel, and it is harder to accidentally poke yourself without a point. Worth every dollar and more.

This seems to be a very well made cleaver, especially for the price. I love that it is all one piece, I actually had to throw my old cleaver away because the handle was just riveted on and it broke.

If you're in the market for a Chinese chef knife, look no further! I use it for more than Asian foods. Cuts meats and vegetables perfectly. Smash garlic with the flat side and you'll have instant paste. My favorite kitchen knife. don't be intimidated by the size, it's very versitale.

ok knife. I do like that the blade metal goes all the way through the tang to provide a great balance ensuring a clean cut.

I use this cleaver for quartering whole chickens, cutting the spare ribs and slicing the chicken breast. The cleaver is comfortable and heavy, which is really good. I like this quality cleaver and use it at least 4 times a week. It is so good that it even replaced some of the knifes that I used before. The heavy weight of the cleaver gives the user a great force that is needed when dealing with meat, vegetables and fruits. The price here is cheapest one that I could find on the internet.
