This ice machine's control panel is located on the outside of the unit for ease of use. In order to make upkeep easier, this unit's AutoAlert control panel with LED lights notifies you of scale buildup so you know exactly when it's time to descale, sanitize, and more. Plus, its WaterSense system reduces scale buildup in the unit, which lengthens the time you can operate between cleanings.
Its door, top panel, and storage bin are all removable, giving you complete access to internal components as well as the unit's diagnostic display, which will alert you of any problems so your unit can be fixed correctly the first time. Its front air filter is removable for easy cleaning, too.
This ice machine produces small, 7/8" x 7/8" x 3/8" ice cubes with 5200 BTU per hour. Operation requires 7.35 kWh of energy and 18 gallons of potable water per 100 lb. of ice. Ideal for operators with limited space, this machine's small footprint can fit in tight locations. Its door slides up instead of swinging out, so you can easily access the ice bin without having to accommodate for the door swing.

This machine as been nothing but trouble for over a year. We are constantly trying to get it to make ice. I would not recommend this unit. Poorly designed water feed system and difficult to diagnose issues.

Scotsman has a good reputation for ice machines and I was excited to use this in my new shop, but it has been nothing but trouble. It was shipped without the bolts holding the bin to the frame, and leaked water terribly until I could get a serviceman out. The capacity of 313 lbs is incredibly misleading, the machine drops ice in slabs instead of cubes, so if you're not paying attention and breaking up the ice as it comes out, the slabs will prop open the curtain which triggers the bin shut off. I run a busy drive through coffeeshop, and I will be selling this and replacing with a better product before our busy summer season.

This machine seems like a nicely constructed machine when you first set it up, but the design just doesn't hold up. Specifically, there is no way that this machine can ever produce the amount of ice it says it will. The way the mechanism works that regulates ice product, it stops producing ice when the bin is barely half way fill. It's hard to see in the video, but when the ice falls, it stands up and blocks the ice making section from closing, which makes the machine stop. So you have to constantly check to make sure the ice is knocked down. And even then, unless you watch it every 10 minutes, it will never produce enough ice. When we get busy, we keep having to buy ice. which is insance, because we aren't using anywhere near 300 lbs a day. And I don't have room for another machine, so I guess we're stuck with it for now, but I would never buy another one like this.
