This can rack is specially engineered to deliver the first can first and the most recently added can last. This follows the FIFO principle and helps ensure that product is used in a safe, timely manner. As such, it helps implement facility HACCP plans for smart and sanitary operation.

How to assemble a Steelton can rack.
You will need an adjustable wrench and two sawhorses.
To assemble the can rack, lay one of the side frames across two sawhorses. Place one of the nine shelves onto the side frame, starting from the top.
Align the holes, then insert screws from the bottom of the side frame and hand-tighten. Be sure not to overtighten the screws. Repeat these steps for the remaining shelves.
Next, lay the other side frame on top of the shelves. Align holes, then insert screws from the top of the side frame, and tighten.
Now, install the two locking casters in the front of the can rack using the four carriage bolts, four flat washers, and four nylon lock nuts on each. Repeat this step for the back of the rack with the two remaining casters.
Finally, stand the can rack up and tighten all the screws with a wrench. Your can rack is now assembled and ready to be used!

We switched to these on a wire shelf versus a can rack. While these work great for the most part they don't really slide down that well. We got 6 of them and I'd say 3-4 of them work like you'd expect, and the other few you have to help the cans move down.
