Keep in mind these will prevent shelve liners from fitting. These guards are also not very secure and wobble. Fine for just keeping items from sliding off the back or side of a shelf but I wouldn't lean anything on them.

I ordered a bunch of Regency product to construct my customized book shelf for my collection of manga books. It works perfectly. I considered this product ideal based on three things: 1. Customization, because of the unique sizes of my manga books, it's very difficult to buy suitable book shelf. The flexibility of this product allows you to maximize the space utilization. 2. Robustness, unlike the ordinary book shelf, this product is very strong and allows me to store my books without deforming the shelf and one book shelf can take a lot of books which saves a lot of spaces. 3. Useful accessories, I also ordered other parts like triangle shaped foot plate (enhanced support), shelf ledge (acting as book-ends), shelf mat overlay (so books don't fall through gaps). Great little addition to the racks for a low profile "wall", recommended
36" long chrome shelf ledges match my cart well and keep things from falling off. There are no manufacturing defects or burrs, which I was concerned about since these are not epoxy covered. I've had these for a few months and they are not rusting or anything.
Works well enough. Clips in securely, but I wouldn't put too much strain on it -- it doesn't feel like it would support all that much weight bearing on it. It's a great value.
These ledges have worked greatly and as a wonderful match with their shelves and plastic mats. These ledges I'm sure have prevented many otherwise potential breakages over the time we've had them. Definitely recommend as an add-on to the shelves.
The Regency 48 inch Black Epoxy wire shelf ledge was extremely easy to install. The ledge is great for preventing items from falling of the back of a shelf especially when the shelving unit is against a wall.
