I screwed up with this purchase. I wanted a really heavy mixing bowl. I thought when Vollrath said heavy, that they meant heavy. i was wrong. This is a fine bowl, but it's not the kind of heavy I was looking for. The Tablecraft H834 is what I wanted. The Tablecraft bowl is nearly twice the weight of this bowl.

We purchased almost every size of these Vollrath mixing bowls for our kitchen staff and they like them. The weight is pretty heavy but it definitely helps with denting. We haven't had to throw any away due to denting. The one thing that is different and sometimes difficult to clean is the different surfaces. The inner surface is a matte almost raw stainless and the outside is a #2 polish finish. It would be nice if both surfaces were polished. Other than that, we love these mixing bowls!

Bowls were sturdy and thick, however the finish sucks. The interior is a matte finish and the exterior is shiny. When you stack them they are HARD to remove. This is a total waste of time and a headache when you want to pick up a bowl from a stack. You literally have to pry them apart as they really get stuck. AVOID THEM. The fact that they get stuck to each other is enough of a time waste that no matter how sturdy and thick they are, you will get frustrated using them.

This mixing bowl is super heavy duty and built to last. This is my favorite mixing bowl and I have purchased other of this series due to their high quality. I look forward to many years of use from this bowl.

I like Vollarath mixing bowl. Nice quality, and durable forever. I have used the bigger one for 10 years, and never has to be replaced.

This thing is gigantic. Perfect for mixing a family-style salad, a huge batch of cookies or pasta. Worth it to get these over the cheap ones because they don't dent very easily and will last much longer.

Perfect medium sized mixing bowl. Whether commercial kitchen or for the home, this mixing bowl provides countless uses. The heavy duty construction can take a beating but is still lightweight

This is a fantastic quality small mixing bowl! I use this for mixing up small batches of salsa together and love it. It is heavy duty, has good weight to it, and would highly recommend!

The Vollrath 8 Qt. Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl is a quality product. I use the bowl to make pastry pie crust dough. In large size allows me to neatly make crust for two pie within.

This mixing bowl is large enough to give a toddler a bath! But it works well for us to mix very large batches of of grain salads and even bread doughs. It is made of heavy duty stainless steel so there is no worry of it denting. It is too big for our dishwashing machine so for us it is hand wash only. It is also difficult to store on our shelves due to the size but we've found it a home.

Top is nice and wide for mixing things in especially if using your hands. Lightweight but sturdy even though it was thinner than I expected. Good quality steel.

I use this for big stuff and I have not been able to find a better deal out there. It is so simple to clean up afterwards no matter how sticky the sauces are that I am using.

Very nice mixing bowls. it is strong, so it doesnt break, or dent when we dropped it a few times. Its deep so you dont have to worry about any spills coming out. Very easy to clean. Great product, would recommend for people in baking business.

This is my go to bowl for mixing a salad for two. The brushed stainless interior looks very nice, the metal thickness is excellent, and the bowl has great handling properties for mixing up a quick batch of dough.

Vollrath 79300 Heavy Duty 30 Qt. Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl is a very good quality bowl and holds a lot of product. We have had a good experience.

Great, sturdy bowl. It's my go to for baking spherical cakes. You may need to use another flat layer to join the two and a bit to build up the top but it's a great alternative to wobbly spherical pans.

We have used Vollrath products for so so long in our restaurant kitchens. It is one of the few brands that we know and trust very well. This mixing bowl is very durable and strong and cheap too.

These are weighted perfectly so they do not wander. Excellent for prep work. We use these (8 Qt. size) to prepare large batches of sauerkraut. I can only imagine the other sizes are equally suitable for whatever task you may have in mind.

Good, large mixing bowl for salads, doughs, marinades, etc. I like that it's very heavy duty stainless steel with a nice finish, but the inside finish gets scratched a little too easily.

Great product! This is a very thick/durable bowl. The only thing is, it has a filmy texture on the inside some sometimes it doesn't come as clean as I would like when rinsing it!

We have a homemade curling rink at our resort. We used this product and filled it will cement and put another one of them on top that we drilled a handle through and screwed them together to make the curling stones.

Vollrath steel bowls have always proven themselves to be worth the extra cost. This bowl is a light gauge and I do wish it were a bit heavier. However, they are still well made, and economical.

This bowl is rugged and versatile. It's a good size to use as a double boiler and for medium sized mixing tasks. I liked it so much that I purchased one for the kitchen and another to use as my dogs water dish.

This bowl does NOT mess around. You could bathe a baby in it. You could fix salad for 40 in it. It is ridculous and wonderful and well made and every big kitchen needs at least one.

Deep bowl is perfect for brining poultry or pork products while saving space in the fridge. Also nests perfectly with the larger bowls to make a great ice bath.

You can never have too many mixing bowls. This one is nice and sturdy. It is not considered "heavy duty" for nothing. It definitely withstands a beating.

This product is well made and sturdy. Only complain is that the finish is not polished, therefore, there's always going to be finger prints showing. If you are ok with this minor problem, this is a fantastic product. Made in USA.

Very nice heavy duty bowl.. Five quarts is a very decent size for most preparations and it is not too deep. I plan on purchasing more of these as they are of good quality.

WOW! I wondered if I'd use a bowl this large and after a month it's turning out to be my new "go to" item in the kitchen! From mixing oatmeal cookie dough, to building and tossing a shell pasta Caprese Salad, to turning out Teriyaki Chicken... it's endless. Great weight too - not cheap like you see in other retailers. Can't imagine going to the 13 qt for home use, but I'll be buying the 5 qt bowl here shortly. Easy cleanup too. If you spend a lot of time in your home kitchen, you NEED this bowl!

this is the best bowl you can buy, but it's too expensive. the other 30 quarg bowls on this site are 1/5 the price. I would not buy this one again due to the price alone.

This is a nice heavy duty bowl. It's solid enough not to slide around on a counter or to be used as a double boiler or for melting substances.

In the past i used RRP bowls & I decided that I wanted something lighter in weight yet durable. I found Vollrath stainless heavy duty bowls fit the bill. Beautiful Bowl. This one doesn't get used as much as some of the others at my house just because of its size (we are a small family), but the quality of it is awesome.

Really strong, heavy duty, attractive bowl that will last a lifetime. I use this 13 qt size for tossing a large green salad that I transfer to the 1/2 size Cambro food pan (9.4 qt) for storage. The wide shape of this bowl makes tossing the extra large salad a breeze.

Nice mixing bowl. We like the inside matte finish and shiny outside finish . It's not as "Heavy Duty" as we expected but it gets the job done. Ours arrived pretty scuffed up.

This 8 Qt bowl is great for larger jobs, like mixing bread dough and proofing. Big enough to mix 3-4 lbs of dough and let it double in size. The quality is top notch and the product looks really nice. The surface is nicely polished which makes it very easy to clean.
