As I utilize sous-vide preparations of meats and vegetables very frequently, evaporation during long cooking cycles can become an issue. The material is very nice and sturdy. It's a little tricky to install on to the storage box, but there's instructions right on the lid. Once you get it to snap and on its very easy to slide back and forth.
These Lids are a mush have if you order the base containers. we use the containers for Fridge and freezer storage, dry storage, and small equipment storage. We use this sliding top with the large 26" cambro storage box to keep multiple packages of spices and herbs. Even if something is on top of the box in the back, you can still slide this lid open to reach whatever you need inside.

These are high quality lids that are durable and easy to clean. My only criticism is that they are a little snug when paired with the associated Cambro containers. I guess it's better to be snug than loose but sometimes I need a lever to pry them off.
