This trap has been a nice upgrade over an old metal trap? We clean it weekly and it does its job perfectly. Easy to take of lid, baffles slide out easily!

The Ashland PolyTrap 4815 30 lb. grease trap with threaded connections prevents greasy substances from entering plumbing systems, septic fields, and wastewater treatment facilities where they cannot be processed properly and could harm the environment. This grease trap is different from traditional metal grease traps since it is made of a durable, seamless polyethylene material that will not rust, corrode, leak, or leach. It is also lighter weight and easier to handle than heavy metal grease traps so it is less demanding to install.
Grease traps are often used with cooking or prep sinks, pot sinks, and commercial dishwashers in various types of commercial food service operations. This model includes a flow restrictor that fits on the inlet side of the interceptor and slows incoming wastewater, redirecting it through the scientifically-placed, removable baffles inside the grease trap.
The lid of this grease trap features a D-ring sealing gasket and is secured with flush mounted bolts. The grease trap comes equipped with complete inlet and outlet connections with standard female threads. From the bottom of the unit to the center of the inlet / outlet there is a 9 1/4" height.
The grease trap has a grease capacity of 30 lb. and a 15 GPM flow rate.

Great product! Fast delivery and easy to install! We had to upgrade from a metal trap after only 4 years and this one is great! We have actually bought 2 different sizes for different kitchens becuase we were so happy with the first!
Its a grease trap that the county and health department required and this unit met their code standards in Florida. I would recommend this grease trap if you are required to install one.
We bought this hoping for something better. The threads are not very good on it and i am worried about how it is going to hold up. Maybe we should have gone with the steel on.
