This auger is compatible with Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries and chargers.

This earth auger features automatic speed change technology that adjusts the drill speed and torque while drilling and a reverse switch for clearing earth auger bits from high-resistance soil. It's powered by (2) 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries and is designed for high-performance digging with even and consistent drill holes up to 8" wide and 41" deep. This tool weighs 17.9 lb. with the batteries installed and is ideal for post-hole digging, fence installation, planting jobs, and construction projects.

Designed with a torque limiter, this earth auger features a built-in clutch that reduces gear damage by disengaging gears if the bit binds during low-speed use. It features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), which protects the unit from excess dirt, debris, water, or mud during intense jobs, and Star Protection computer controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The tool is designed with a metal gear housing for durability and an LED light to illuminate the work area.

This earth auger includes (2) 18V LXT lithium-ion 5.0 Ah batteries and 1 dual-port charger. The batteries feature impact-resistant outer cases and shock-absorbing inner liners that are engineered to protect the batteries and ensure they remain securely attached to the auger. The charger allows the batteries to reach a full charge in just 45 minutes. It also includes a chuck key with convenient on-tool storage and is compatible with Makita earth auger bits, blades, and an optional extension bar (sold separately). This item is only for use with Makita batteries and chargers.
