I purchased a brand-new Mahlkönig grinder for our coffee business through WebstaurantStore. Unfortunately, the unit did not function right out of the box — completely dead upon first power-up, with proper installation and voltage verified. When I contacted support, I was told that the manufacturer warranty is parts-only for 12 months and that no replacement unit would be issued, even for an immediate defect. The only option offered was to wait for replacement parts and handle installation at my own cost. For a premium commercial grinder at this price, that response is unacceptable. If a product arrives defective, it should be replaced—not repaired before it’s ever used. I’d strongly recommend that anyone purchasing expensive equipment here verify the warranty terms carefully and understand that WebstaurantStore does not offer replacements for defective-on-arrival item.
