Lodge LPP3 8 1/4" Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Ribbed Grill Press

I use this when cooking sandwiches, sausages, hot dogs and hamburgers. If you want grill marks on both sides, buy the 10" square Lodge pan with the ridges and use this press with it after preheating the press over a low flame. I'm not even tempted to buy an electric Panini press anymore!

This panini press is very sturdy and makes amazing grill marks on the bread after being heated properly. It is a great alternative to a panini press when you are limited on space in your commercial kitchen.

I love this press! I had been using a different one on my food truck for paninis, & it was much heavier. When I first received this one, I was worried that I wouldn't get good lines for my sandwiches because of how lightweight it is; surprisingly, it works even better! I plan to buy another one, so I can have two going at a time! The only complaint I'd have, is that it is pretty small. Despite the size (which isn't a big deal), I totally recommend.

This pre seasoned grill press is the largest offered by Lodge, and the only one that is ribbed. It can be used as a bacon press, as it will cover multiple pieces at the same time. I use it in conjunction with a ribbed griddle or pan. Used in this way it forms half of a panini press. This is another great product by Lodge, and I give it 5 stars.

We would love one just a bit larger, but it does the job! We use this to quicken the cook time for grilled chicken on our flat top grill from raw. With out it, it takes 15 minutes to get to 165 degrees, with it, it only takes 9 minutes. That make a huge difference in a fast pace restaurant. Great quality, and very durable.

I love the quality and heavy duty nature of Lodge cookware and their iron press is a great product. A nice press to use on burgers or steaks and holds up awesome against high heat cooking.

I bought this weight to press proteins in my cast irons or on my flat top. Its weighted pretty well and can fit several steaks underneath it. It also fits two sandwiches instead of just one when making a Panini. I use it often and would buy it again.

I LOVE this ribbed grill press! It heavy and flattens sandwiches just enough, and leaves a fun imprint in the bread. Per another reviews great suggestion, I also purchased the Lodge 10 1/2 cast iron square grill pan, and they work perfectly together. If you heat the press up along with the grill pan, you don't need to flip the sandwich.

Love this grill press for making paninis, sandwiches at home. I pair it with my lodge griddle and it works great. Easy clean up too.

For years I've wanted a panini press and I never got one. Once I got into cast iron cooking I found this to go along with the ten inch ribbed grill pan. There was a slight learning curb during my first attempt at paninis but after that this things makes artisan sandwich making very very easy. All you have to do is warm the grill pan with this topper inside the skillet and after about five minutes you'll have a hot and ready panini press.

This is really nice for pressing for larger amounts of bacon cooked on the grill top. We have never used it for panini sandwiches. The only bad thing is that the handle gets hot.

I bought this along with the Lodge L8SQ3 10 1/2" square pre-seasoned cast iron skillet in lieu of a countertop type grill for quick cooking of burgers, chicken breasts and the like. It works great when pre-heated on a burner. Heavy-duty and good quality I've come to expect from Lodge.

This grill press is heavy duty and the perfect size for pressed sandwiches. I like to preheat mine so that it heats the food as it presses.

Cast iron press is as described and is of a good, heavy weight, ideal for pressing smaller items such a sandwiches and bacon. The coating on the grill press however can chip off easily as the press is used, so use with extra care.

This press has a nice weight to it and even though it isn't flat bottomed it will press bacon flat and keep the spatter to a minimum. I use this in my 12inch round skillet and it fits no problem and with my pro logic grill pan. And its cheaper than the regular presses Lodge makes. Also it makes some pretty thin grilled cheese sandwiches. Get one!

The Lodge Panini Press works great with the Lodge grill pan for making panini sandwiches as well as grilling a quick steak. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Now this is noones fault but my own, but i was expecting 2 of these with my order because there are two in the photo. DUH. We only do panninis now and again and this is a great option for us as opposed to buying a press.
