Conveniently, all hardware is included, so there are no additional purchases of screws or small parts for installation. Stable Support
The cross base offers a stable support for the central column, which will combat any rocking or wobbliness. The 3" bar height column is not only great for casual seating, when paired with bar height chairs (sold separately), but also makes for a great standing room only lounge option for entertaining. Its black powder coat finish also gives this base that classic, sleek appearance.
Attractive and Stable
The 3" column diameter is more of an aesthetic choice that still has a similar load rating compared to slightly larger variations; therefore, you can choose from a wide selection of tabletops, which includes some of those heavier options.
Leveling Feet
Within the base column lies a threaded interior column that easily fastens to the spider plate - a pre-drilled, cast-iron plate intended to secure the column to the tabletop. Plus, this kit includes leveling table feet to ensure the table is nice and steady. Each foot will independently adjust up to 1/4" to account for uneven floors. They feature a 1/4"-20 thread, allowing them to be installed on most table bases with existing screw-in feet. These levelers can also be installed onto wooden table legs with the included threaded nylon sockets.

Watch this video to learn how to assemble your Lancaster Table & Seating stamped steel table base.
First, remove the bolt and washer from one end of the column.
Next, flip the base plate upside down and place it on the column. Use the bolt and washer to secure it. Tighten the bolt with a wrench.
Now, screw the leveling feet into the bottom of the base plate.
Flip the column and table base right side up, then remove the bolt and washer from the top of the column.
Place the spider on the column, and secure it with the washer and bolt. Use a wrench to tighten the bolt.
Finally, lay the tabletop upside down, and place the assembled base, spider side down, onto the tabletop. Center the spider and secure it with eight screws.
Turn the table right side up again, and adjust the leveling feet as needed to stabilize your table. Your table assembly is now complete.
