This style of opener features two wings for controlled operation! The sharp point of the corkscrew can be used in lieu of a knife to remove any foil or wrapper that is around the bottle's neck. Then, simply insert the corkscrew into the dead center of the cork and twist the lever pull until the two wings rise all the way up. Then push down on the two wings which are used to extract the cork straight out of the bottle with minimal effort! As you do this, the cork will extract.
