Koala Kare KB310/KB311 SSRE Baby Changing Station Installation Video
This video will show you how to install your Koala Kare KB310 or KB311 SSRE baby changing station.
Thank you for choosing the KB310 or KB311 SSRE from Koala Kare. Before beginning, review the installation instructions and tool list. Also check your local building codes for compliance requirements.
Prepare the rough wall opening per the technical data sheet available on www.koalabear.com. Remove the handle or handles and bag hooks from the packaging, and put them aside. Open the unit by pulling up on the handle studs. Remove the plastic liner dispenser from inside the unit.
Two people will be needed to lift and position the unit into the rough wall opening. One person will hold the unit in the wall, while the other opens the unit using the handle studs. Once opened fully, you will have access to the mounting holes on either side of the unit. Using the provided hardware, pre-drill and screw through the mounting holes. Once secured, the unit will no longer need to be held in place.
With the unit open, position the liner dispenser over the exposed metal frame in the center of the recess. Use the provided key to open the liner dispenser. This will provide access to the 4 mounting holes. Use the provided hardware to secure the liner dispenser to the metal frame. Lock the liner dispenser and close the unit.
Position the provided handle or handles over the mounting studs. The open section of the KB310 handles should be toward the top of the unit. Use the provided Allen wrench to tighten the set screws in the handle.
Test the unit by opening and closing it multiple times, ensuring it opens and closes smoothly. Then, remove the protective film from the surface of the unit.
To install the bag hook, position it on the wall in the desired location over a wall stud for optimal strength. The bag hook is to be installed 44" (1118mm) from the finished floor to the top of the mounting plate. Mark and pre-drill the mounting holes. Use the provided screws to secure the bag hook in position. Then, take the escutcheon plate and screw it over the mounting plate to cover the mounting screws.
