I LOVE this broom. It is NOT too heavy and it sweeps well. I use it for my front and back porch areas. Great for those areas that get a bit more debris. Use it to sweep prior to using the robot vacuum and the clean is awesome. This broom did lose bristles in the beginning, but NOTHING compared to what I had prior. It's still like new after all these months. Bristles have settled and broom is working out fantastically.
