We had this cheese cutter for just over 1 year. 3 of the 4 screws fell out of the base and the wire snapped a couple of times. It worked great for light use, but if you are cutting multiple wheels of firm cheese, find something more heavy duty.

Second one I bought. First one one of the feet broke off almost immediately and the wire broke not long after. Second one we bought the wire broke less than a month after buying and not even with heavy use. Listen to all of the other reviews and DO NOT buy this.

This cheese cutter is poorly made/flimsy. It only came with one wire which was super light weight didn't return well in the resting position. It broke on the first use. I thought I would try it as a stainless steel alternative to the Boska cheese cutters I usually use... what a mistake, I wound up having to buy a Boska anyway. I would not bother with this unit.
