Garde ONSLC316 3/16" Onion / Produce Slicer

Great Idea, fast , precise. But I just ordered our 5th set of blades . Sucks they don’t have a way to just change one blade.. you have to order the entire set. Also just order the top piece that is attached to handle. When the blade broke , it put a notch in the top piece that cones down so it scrapes on blades, herder to pull down. Looking for other alternatives, not electric. For now I’ll just keep paying more for blades then I did the entire slicer… We’re a small bar that goes through 420 lbs of burger patties a week. Hand cutting onions and tomatoes with knife, is not optimal.

You get what you pay for. This is much less expensive than the competition, but it does come with some flaws. It does have more play in the design than other slicers, this causes the blades to sometimes get hit by the pusher. That being said, the price is hard to beat.

Worst machine ever. In less of 3 month's we change the blades 4 times. we try different way to use the machine and the blades still brake easy.

Works perfectly for our needs. After 7 months of use, I'm preparing to purchase my first set of replacement blades. We cut 50 lbs of onions, 4 lbs of mushrooms, 10 lbs of green peppers a week with this and just now needed to replace the blades. When we use it for half the onions and all of the peppers, we slice, then reload with the slices placed sideway and slice again, then reload and rotate again and slice a third time. This way we get a 3/16" dice out of the product. So triple the usage. Anyone stating the blades break easily, must not be using it properly.
