Can I use this dispenser for thick beverages like horchata, dairy, or nut milks?
For the best performance and sanitation, this dispenser is not recommended for use with dairy-based beverages, or beverages with a thick consistency. The interior components are best suited to handle thin, water-based beverages like juice, iced tea, or lemonade.
This dispenser comes pre-set to maintain beverages at 41 degrees Fahrenheit. To access the control knob, lift the plastic cover on the side of the machine. Turning the knob clockwise will lower the temperature. Turning the knob counterclockwise will raise the temperature.
It is highly recommended to shut down, remove old product, and thoroughly clean the machine at the end of each day. Leave the machine off overnight to allow the motor to rest. Using more than 1 gallon of liquid in each of the bowls at all times is also essential to extending the life of the equipment.
R-290 (also known as high purity propane or CARE 40) and R-600a (also known as refrigerant grade Isobutane or CARE 10) are hydrocarbon refrigerants. R513a (also known as Opteon XP10) and R-448A (also known as Solstice N40) are HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) refrigerants. They are being used by some manufacturers in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program.
In Galaxy 2- and 3-bowl beverage dispensers, the leftmost bowl is the primary bowl and contains the thermostat that regulates the machine’s cooling system. For proper operation, this bowl must always be filled with product while the unit is running.

If the left bowl is empty while the machine is on, the unit will continue trying to cool, which can lead to a freeze-up, causing internal components to over-chill and potentially damaging the machine or reducing performance.

To prevent this issue:

  • Always fill the left bowl before turning the machine on.

  • Make sure your beverage mix is pre-mixed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Only add product to the bowl when the machine is off and unplugged.

    We used for 2 days; and it freezes up and won’t even spin to mix anything. We have to turn it off and let it sit for hours on end so it will thaw out so it will mix… and then it’s a repetitive cycle.

    horrible quality ! its just waste of time. there is no settings on it so it makes frozen iced inside you have to shut it and after this happens you have to throw your iced tea or coffee . I am gonna get rid of it asap .

    Beverages freeze up, the paddle then get stuck and doesn’t mix. We have tried adjusting it to the highest temperature however it still freezes. We have to intermittently turn machine off which causes great inconvenience to our operations. Definitely would not recommend unless you’re wanting a frozen beverage machine.
