I personally can't stand hand dryers because my hands are wet from a weak, warm blow on my hands and it drives me nuts, and I wouldn't want our guests to have that experience. And these work, they work, they have such power. I enjoy using them and I'm okay with that, and I'm happy our guests have that experience.

One of our greatest challenges is the fact that we're bowling alley, a music venue, a restaurant, a nightclub, private event space, and we have all these things going on at the same time. Through the course of 16 or so hours, we'll do 2 or 3 thousand people through the door. We have guests that come here with different intentions and expectations, and we try to meet them all when it happens, right? This place is magic.

We are the first Leed-Certified bowling alley in the world, and a lot went into that, but it was a lot that was done in the construction and how the place was built and the materials that were used, and then how we operate on a daily basis. One of the ways we found was with our pin spotters, they're not a traditional pin spotters. The pins are actually on strings. This has one drawbar that has the, pulls the strings back on a pulley. So for us, it's quiet. It takes up less space. But most importantly, it's used about 25% of the electricity of a regular pins spotter.

Part of the green initiative is that hand dryers we're going to be a better choice for us in terms of energy consumption and waste. Then our first talent buyer, Mia Sla, said to Charlie and I, Xlerator's are the best you have to get them. We installed them in our men's room and women's room, and we're so happy with them, we added them to our smaller handicapped bathrooms and our artist green room bathroom. And there's another kind of hand dryer. It is a Dyson where you put your hands in it. It's just bizarre. It's an odd experience. There's water everywhere and you try not to touch the sides. It's almost like a game of operation.

We had paper towels for a period of time. The amount of waste we were going through and the potential for clogged toilets and the mess on the floor, we decided that we would be happier going with the Xlerator dryers.

We love them. They get used a ton, and with all the traffic through our bathrooms, we've had great success with them. On the rare occasion where we have an issue, customer service is great. The parts are easy to swap out. I have a maintenance guy in house who can handle it easily, and the fact that we're talking now about a family owned company, the United States made, just a few hours north from here. That was important to us. So we put a lot of thought and effort into the way this place looks, including our bathrooms, and I think the accelerator has a sophisticated look that really fits the feel of the place. You're not in this beautiful place. And then walk into something that looks a little more like a gas station bathroom. You've got a great look in there, and the Xlerator fits right in.
