CaterGator CG45HG Hunter Green 45 Qt. Rotomolded Outdoor Cooler / Ice Chest

I found this cooler being the bargain hunter that i am, i was skeptical about buying a non "name brand" cooler and this one is like 1/2 the price of name brand units im so glad i found this cooler. I left it with ice i put in as soon as it arrived in my car while at work and im TX! still had plenty of ice ,best cooler ive ever bought and ill buy another as back up very soon!

Got my Cater Gator cooler in today 2 days after ordering! Wow! well made at awesome price! You will not be disappointed in these coolers this one will not be my last!

We have purchased the large one with wheels and this smaller one in same camo pattern. We use them for events mostly for drinks. We have noticed over time the plug will start to leak if not tightened super tight. Which is a negative because once you tighten it, its hard to un screw it later when cleaning and to air it out for storage. is the only thing we have noticed thats an issue, not a super big deal but it's happened to both coolers. Our large one we purchased it over 4 years ago and it still looks good and functions good for the price. It's not as good as the yeti ice melts faster (we have a yeti too) but for traveling and banging it around as much as we do it's well worth the price and we will probably purchase more in the future. I think the yeti and others are overpriced for what you get. This cooler will get the job done.

This is the best bang for your buck, period. I use this for keeping large pieces of meat cool for many days. It holds ice equal time to my Yeti, RTIC, and ORCA coolers. The latches are much better and solid feeling then the RTIC and Yeti. The feet don't come off when sliding the cooler like the RTIC coolers do. And the plug chain is a nice feature so you don't lose the thing. The corner metal bottle openers are great to hook locks through when your in need to chain or secure the cooler. I own 3 of these Cator Gator Coolers and will keep buying more.

Bought this for ice retention on my fishing boat and I couldn’t be happier. Save some $ and buy this cooler. I’ve used the other well known brands that cost hundreds more and this CaterGator is as good or better than the others.I’m in the tropical sun all day and i have ice for days. Happy Captain.

I purchased the 45qt cooler. I’ve now used this cooler 4-5 times for multiple days. There is absolutely no way this cooler is holding ice for 10 days. The max is 5 days. I. Hot conditions count on 24 hours. I used this at flaming gorge camping for drinks and it held ice for 5 days. The last time I used it in Escalante in the summer. It was closed all day since I was out Canyoneering and it held ice for 24 hours. A bit disappointing.

I purchased this cooler a few weeks ago, I live in the Florida Keys where its HOT!. I filled the cooler with 32lbs of ice and drinks. I used it (meaning opening and closing it) it stayed in the sun and shade outside only. After 5 days the ice had melted and I was left with ice cold water. I'm not sure how the claim of 10days of ice would be appropriate, maybe if it was inside and not exposed to the elements? But, overall I'm very satisfied with this product, I would purchase an other one when needed.

I can't wait to use this cooler on my next fishing trip. I compared it to my old coolers and I like everything about them.

I finally got to put this cooler to the test and it did not disappoint! I had it in the back of my truck when it was 100° and it held 75% of the ice for 4 days, and that's with me opening it a couple of times! I'd put it up against any "name brand" cooler on the market!

This is a great cooler but after leaving the cooler in back of the truck the lid bowed and no longer seals properly. I don't think the plastic can handle New Mexico's desert sun & heat. I highly recommend them putting a 3rd latch in the middle.

I have has this 110qt catergator cooler for about a week now. Has been in the bed of my truck, full of ice and drinks for 4 days, first 2-3 days it sat in the house empty. The lid is warping in the middle and no longer contacting the seal at all. I am a field mechanic in West Texas and need a cooler that can take the heat and not warp, and it does not look like this is going to cut it! As long as these coolers are,they should have 3-4 latches instead of just 2!!

Solid design with a lot of nice touches. Every component seems solid and it holds ice great. Very satisfied with it for my prop project and as an ice chest!

This is an outstanding cooler that rivals Yeti and Rtic. Please give it a chance.

Recently went to an outdoor concert. The cooler was in the car all day with temperatures around 100 degrees. We still had ice and our drinks were cold. At half the cost of the competition, this cooler kills it!

Everything went well on delivery and very pleased with my cooler.

I bought this cooler to replace an older Igloo brand, thinking this one would keep things cold longer, and the lower price was initially appealing. I was wrong. You definitely get what you pay for; this works no better than an Igloo. Not worth the money and the return policy is worthless.

Have been looking at these coolers for years, I bought this cooler for elk hunting, one should be be able to get 2 quarters plus ice or dry ice in one, the quality it amazing, as good as other way more expensive brand coolers, just used it for my drinks durning my family reunion, loaded up Thursday with drinks and ice, still had ice on Tuesday. Amazing Band for the Buck will be buying more

I saw the price on these online so I said well I'll try one but it was very skeptical. I will be buying more of these they hold ice better than a yeti, cost less and the quality is impeccable. The best thing is that weighs less.

Great ice chest. I filled it with ice packs and it was able to hold under 40 degrees for about three days in 75 degree weather. The two front corners have a place to put a lock, which double as a bottle opener. The rope handles are nice, but with how big it is, it's difficult to move without two people. If you'll be moving it alone, I would definitely get the one with wheels.

I bought this 170 qt. CaterGator on-sale for an elk hunting trip in Utah. I strongly recommend, as it fit an entire quartered bull elk and kept ice for the return drive to Texas.

Shipped very quickly, first impression is that it is really good quality especially considering the price point. I would definitely compare it to other big name coolers. Excited to test it out hunting.

This is a great cooler, don’t take the 10day mark as a buying point. If it’s snowing outside and you live in Minnesota it’ll prob stay cold for 3 months. But when it’s hot and in the sun it will not. I’ve put room temp drinks form the store in the cooler and a bag of ice and the ice melts in 24hr and the drinks stay cold for 3 days I’ve also prechilled my cooler and drinks then put them with ice and and the ice has lasted 8 days. It’ll all depend on the conditions of use.

An amazing rotomolded cooler. It is extremely durable in construction and an excellent value. The metal bottle openers are very solid and won't bend or rust overtime.

I like my 45 qt cater gator. The quality of it is nice. I have 1 dislike and that is, it holds ice maybe 1 and half day inside my air conditioned house...

Although this isn’t the best cooler that money can buy, it is definitely cheaper than some of the other coolers that we have. It holds a lot and it keeps everything ice cold for a long time.

CaterGator tan cooler looks attractive and is a heavy well made cooler. This cooler works great to take for family outing on our Pontoon or to take to buy food supplies during the heat since it keeps food cold. This is a wonderful cooler with lots of added features, a ruler on top, a cup holder at each end of the cooler, two sturdy handles, the cooler can be locked, the drain hole has a plug with a chain to prevent the plug from being lost, and this is a very well made cooler.

We purchased this cooler for a beach party we had catered. Not only did it look great but it kept our customers drinks ice cold with the lid open for the entire afternoon and evening. This cooler is very durable and does not weigh too much like other coolers we have looked at.We are going to purchase another one as soon as its available. We loved the cooler so much we use it for our personal trips too ! Thanks !!!

Very well built cooler. I'd take this over my RTIC. It is lighter and has some nice features. (corded drain plug) The fish ruler and cup holders on the lid are also very useful.

This cooler is top notch! The build quality is exceptional, and it holds up to their claims of keeping ice for a long time. It has great added features for usability that other big name brands don’t offer. I would certainly buy this cooler again no questions asked!

This is my second CaterGator cooler purchase (see my May 2019 review of the CG20TAN). As before nice fit and finish, drain plug seals well and cannot be lost, and strong latching system holding the lid tightly closed. The feet are smooth plastic (by appearances stronger and more substantial than the rubber disks on the CG20) and sit almost flat with a very minor rocking motion. Also as before baskets, dividers and spare parts are not available unlike some manufacturers. An outstanding overall value. I have not tested the ice retention capacity yet but I'm confident it will easily meet my needs.
