Bron Coucke 3839 "Original" Stainless Steel Professional Mandoline with Interchangeable Blade Set

be careful, this thing is sharp! it's pretty big and clunky but it's very sharp and durable so if you do a lot of slicing, it's very useful.

I bought this so I could make uniform "batons" out of large russet potatoes for air fryer fries (home use). I selected this model based on reviews here . It's not the first time I've used a mandoline but it's the first time I used this particular type of mandoline where the blades are integral. (My prior mandoline came from WS and I never loved it... .) I agree with some other reviewers that the written directions are not the best but after watching the video I figured it out. Right out of the gate I was able to make perfect and uniform potato sticks ready for the air fryer. I was mind-boggled at how easy it was and almost every day since I first received it I think of new things I'd like to create with this mandoline. Once you understand it, it's really easy to operate and clean. I also bought the A-7 cut resistant glove for my right hand. The combination of the glove and this mandoline is unbeatable and would make a great gift (for yourself or someone else).

5 stars for function of the mandoline. 5 stars for WebstaurantStore. But Bron, minus stars for your terrible instructions! You don't even tell me I need to remove that tiny little black plastic guard covering the straight cut blade. Maybe I'm just use to american english instructions that are assuming I know nothing about their product. Which is usually true. Please improve your written instructions and video demo.

Durable, reliable and sustainable never fails to do the job

Bron Coucke is the only mandoline Chef will use. It's easy to change blades if needed and make fast work of prepping vegetables- especially for salad add-ons. Don't waste money on a plastic imitation/ version because they only last months before they become inefficient and dangerous- the Bron Coucke performs well for years and years. It's not just the "Original", it's a Classic! Money well spent.

This mandoline is difficult to use and gets sticky which makes it dangerous with how sharp the blades are. If you're going to be using this for actual food production, I'd look elsewhere.

This is an essential piece of equipment in our kitchen. It saves our staff so much time in prep work and it holds up well to very heavy use.

What a disappointment! It's made of stainless steel and quite sturdy but the dicing blades are as sharp as butter knives. This must be the mandolins they sell to the tourists. it's downright dangerous to use because of the force one needs to push an onion or a potato through to dice it. I don't blame Webstaurant because it's obvious the factory sent out a dull tool. Maybe that's why the price is so low compared to elsewhere. It's one thing to be disappointed in a product but it's dangerous and hazardous to use.

This is a heavy duty mandoline! Maybe it isn't as sharp as it's Japanese counterparts, but it is twice as sturdy and much more durable. One thing I really love about this unit is the ability to make crinkle cuts. That's a feature that seems like it's harder to find.

I was really excited to use this mandoline, i set it up, read the directions, then prepared to make some sliced pickles. The blades were so dull that i only ripped the cucumber peels. I thought maybe the cucumbers were tough so I tried a potato, same result. Very disappointing!! Emailed them and they wanted a video of me using it.

I got the bron coucke mandolin from the Webster on it has the 38 blade cutter I like this mandolin they've always been a good brand quality made .

This stainless steel mandoline is great. It is a real time savor when having to julienne a large amount of product, Being stainless steels makes it easy to clean. Definitely a time saver all around.

I've owned a plastic model before and no comparison. This model is all steel and the blades are part of the mandoline so there is no need to switch them out. so pleased with my purchase.

I've used many mandolines throughout my career, and this is probably my least favorite. As other reviews have stated, the blades on this BRAND NEW mandoline are not sharp. You have to apply force to get your product to slice. Will work "OK" with our cut resistant gloves, but I've used cheaper mandolines that work better than this one. The guard is a joke, don't bother. The shaped slicing blades are even worse than the straight edge. I would spend your money elsewhere. Would love to return this product if i could.

I looked long and hard before purchasing the Bron Mandolin. This thing is SHARP. It will slice and dice anything, including you. Do yourself a favor and get some Kevlar or cut resistant gloves. This thing is worth the price, it is Awesome.

This is such a great product. I've been using Japanese Mandolins for a while, but this is far superior. Some people argue they serve different needs and in some cases it is truth, but working with this quality material, just gives you a different grip. Heavy duty stainless steel, nice guard and varied set of blades. Very happy so far.

Purchased recently based on reviews. Have used other mandolins with no problem and was looking forward to a super sharp instrument. However the slicing blade is not as sharp as advertised and even using the built in guard it is difficult to use and dangerous. If the blade where sharper the veggie should cut smoother and you would have no issues, however blade feels dull and the cut is not easy, resulting in you having to push harder, and therefore perhaps cut your hands. Return policy is horrible and restocking fee makes it not worth the effort. Very dissapointed in this purchase.

This is the best mandoline that your money can buy. It also might be the last because it will last a lifetime. I always keep this close when doing large amounts of prep. Saves time and all cuts are the same. Consistent and great price!

I read several reviews and did a lot of research before I finally settled on this mandolin. So far I'm very happy with the decision and have used it quite a bit. It is well built and sturdy; the blades are easy to set and reset. I like the hand guard that came with it as you never have to get near the blades when cutting up vegetables. The brace for holding it on the countertop is a nice feature, but the rubber feet make it sure footed even without the brace. This is a good all around mandolin that is heavy duty and very well built with virtually no plastic to break; the only plastic is the knob on the hand guard but that is very large and solid so I don't see any issues with that. This is a good investment if you are looking for a well built mandolin.

This is the real deal. When you think of a mandolin this is what you think of a solid all stainless steel construction built to last. It is also extremely precise and won't slip like other cheaper models. Save money & headache in the long run and spend a little more up front.
