Does Beverage-Air warrant this item for use in a food truck?
This item is covered under Beverage-Air's warranty contingent upon the unit being kept in a controlled climate. This means that the interior of the food truck may not be susceptible to extreme high or low temperatures. If warranty service is required, the truck must be able to sit stationary for 24-48 hours to allow for a technician to service the equipment.
If your unit has pre-installed casters, it may be secured directly to the pallet for safe transport. To remove it safely, tilt the unit slightly to one side and use a wrench or socket set to loosen the bolts attaching it to the pallet. In some cases, you may need to pry up a pallet plank with a hammer to access the bolts or to release casters nested within the pallet base. If you are unsure or need assistance, we recommend contacting a local moving or equipment installation service for help.
R-290 (also known as high purity propane or CARE 40) and R-600a (also known as refrigerant grade Isobutane or CARE 10) are hydrocarbon refrigerants. R513a (also known as Opteon XP10) and R-448A (also known as Solstice N40) are HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) refrigerants. They are being used by some manufacturers in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program.

Built for back of the house storage, the Horizon Series bottom mount reach-ins from Beverage-Air offers a variety of refrigerators and freezers perfect for any food service operation. The units range from 19" to 75" wide to provide an assortment of sizes. While solid, glass, full, or half-door options are also available. For maximum durability each unit features an all stainless steel construction. Bottom-mount refrigeration is ideal for back of the house use. Raising the interior floor for easy loading and retrieval. It also makes it safe to store supplies on the top of the unit. The Horizon Series have a 1 piece grill for easy cleaning and an electronic control for intuitive operation. To accommodate unique needs, dual temperature units are available with both refrigerated and frozen cabinets. All freezer units feature a built in expansion valve for reliable high quality performance. Each Horizon unit features bright interior LED lighting which makes it easy to locate your products. These LEDs emit far less heat than regular fluorescent lights, which is ideal for a refrigerated unit. The doors are also outfitted with a 120 degree stay-open feature for easy loading and a self-sealing design with magnetic gaskets for secure closure. Inside each unit are 3 heavy duty epoxy coated shelves per section, which are adjustable in 1/2" increments. They're also Energy-star qualified and proudly made in the USA.

Overall great Fridge. The bottom mount compressor is definitely easier to service that a top mount. I took off 1 star because the interior LED stop working within 6 months over ownership. A (expensive) new LED bulb did not fix the problem. Was told a technician would have to come out to troubleshoot. Not worth the hassle. Other than the light, good fridge.

How do you find things in the Dark? Good Luck, as Webstaurant no longer carries True brand reach-ins, I purchased my first Beverage-Air cooler. I wanted the glass doors to expedite the process of locating your needing items. Unfortunately the NEW IMPROVED LED lighting is mounted along the door jam sides, very exposed when the doors are opened, where loading and unloading refrigerated items can EASILY come in contact with them. When touched they pop off and short out. In less than 90 days I lost 2 strips. Let's say they are extremely fragile and apparently NOT covered by warranty. Doesn't matter how well the reach-in cools if you cant see inside the cooler. Major engineering fault!
