It is softer than regular pasta but still holds together well after tons of mixing. Leans towards a corn taste but isn't overwhelmingly taste like corn. Tastes great with any sauce I end up putting on it.

Details
Create a variety of signature pasta dishes with this Barilla fettuccini pasta. Featuring thick, flat, ribbon-shaped strands, this versatile pasta cut holds up well to robust dairy-, oil-, and tomato-based sauces as well as with sauces combined with meat, seafood, vegetables, and cheese. Use it to serve Italian-American staples like fettuccini alfredo or to offer traditional Italian dishes like fettuccine alla papalina. No matter how it's prepared, Barilla pasta is trusted among Italian chefs and remains Italy's #1 brand of pasta for its reliability in texture and ability to complement fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
This pasta is made with the finest durum wheat semolina to deliver great taste and ensure an "al dente" texture your customers crave, every time. Soft and fine, durum semolina is ideal for pasta as it easily forms the shape with its supple, moldable dough and holds up well during cooking. To prepare, use 4-6 quarts of water per pound of pasta. Bring to a rolling boil and add salt to taste. Add the pasta to the boiling water, stir gently, and return to a boil. For "al dente" pasta, boil uncovered for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. For more tender pasta, boil for an additional minute. Remove from the heat and drain well. Simply add your preferred ingredients, plate, and serve!
In 1877, Pietro Barilla opened a bread and pasta shop in Parma, Italy with the dream of supplying his community with the most delicious handmade bread and pasta to serve at their own family tables. Pietro and his son Riccardo worked tirelessly to make and deliver their products daily to the streets of Parma and over the years began to purchase more advanced pasta-making technology and warehouse space to keep up with the demand. After years of success and expansion due to their commitment to quality, authentic products and a passion for innovation, Barilla has since positioned itself as the world's leading industrial pasta producer. It remains an Italian family-owned company that is dedicated to bring high-quality, nutritious products while supporting an environmentally-sustainable production process from field to fork.
