Frequently Asked Questions From Customers

My business is at a high elevation; does this change anything when I order gas cooking equipment?
Many gas equipment manufacturers need to make adjustments to the equipment so it operates correctly at elevations over 2,000 feet. Sometimes we can special order from the manufacturer and have your cooking equipment delivered ready-to-go, but in cases where your unit is in stock and waiting to ship, you’ll need to have a qualified service technician come to your location and alter your unit at the time of installation so that it is compatible with a higher elevation. Contact our Special Orders team prior to placing your order, and we will let you know what will work best for the equipment you are planning to purchase.
This is normal for painted outdoor ranges. During initial start-up and first use, you may experience some burn-in of the range that includes unpleasant fumes and discoloration of the burner. This process is typical, and after 10-15 minutes the unit will be ready for use.

If you don't have a gas stove this is simply a must have. Don't waste money getting a bbq with a side burner because those are still just 1 psi and don't get hot enough to cook a thing. flame ranges from rocket flame to gentle. This makes searing meat a pleasure. Wok cooking a breeze. boiling large pots of water easy, and quick. flame can also be lowered for simmering.

Love this thing. Use it for outdoor frying, deep frying and boiling. We make fries, chicharrones, battered fish, paella, soup stock, and pasta. Keeps the heat and strong smells outdoors in the summer, and makes it easier to make accompaniments when the rest of the meal is on the grill.

This burner is absolutely amazing! It took around 1 hour on 3/4 strength to bring 6 gallons to boil...and this was in 40 degree conditions!!! What a buy.

I got this unit fast! that was awesome!!. the only reason I took a star off is that on the 1st firing of it huge amounts of paint burned off the rings and legs. It caused really bad smells and caused s to have to stand a ways away from the unit to keep from having to inhale the fumes. while this doesn't hurt the cooking in anyway it is kind of a problem for those of us that have breathing issues. while I am using to clean items and not cook it does not matter any more than that.

This burner is even more powerful than I expected. Definitely more powerful than your standard fryer burner. After having it for a year now, it is very sturdy and shows no weak areas. Well worth it, especially at this price!

I bought the burner to boil the water to seal tomato jars. Here the summer comes and as italian tradition we do tomato paste and crushed tomatoes to store for all year. One of the "must have" it's the cooking stand like this. It's not too heavy but strong enough to hold big pot with 40 tomato jars. It took 25 min to bring to boil small amount of water that I put already hot inside the pot, usually will takes half of that time. PROS: Easy Installation, robust, good price, good coverage around the flame for the air, light. CONS: Little bit of soot, the flame power is low, regulation for the burning air doesn't work, regulation of the propane works really little. Overall good product, would be better with higher pressure.

All in all this is a good burner. I use it for brewing beer. As other reviewers have mentioned, it produces a lot of soot. It appears it wasn't painted with a high temp paint because it is flaking off now.

Thank you for the review, Scott! The manufacturer has improved these - they are now painted with a high temperature paint. Over time, however, it is natural for the paint to show regular wear and tear.

This is a powerful outdoor burner. I bought it for a 4th of July crab cookout and it handled the job of cooking 140 crabs with ease. We were able to handle batches of 12, but mostly due to the size pot we used. This burner is easy to use and transport wasn't a big hassle. The only practical issue is that the air inlet does not accommodate the intensity of the burner and you don't get a true blue flame on a higher setting.

Just got the backyard pro to cook some beer on. I bought it because it had high BTU's and looked pretty sturdy. It has an adjustable dial to control the temperature that works very well. At first I thought it had to much adjustment in it but once I lit it the flame was infinitely adjustable. I put a ten gallon pot with five gallons of water on the burner. Cranked it up and it took about five minutes to reach 160 degrees and I turned it down and it held 160 for the 20 minutes I steeped my grain. Then I cranked it up again with in ten minutes it was boiling. I cranked it back down and it held a rolling boil for the hour that it took to cook the beer. It burns off the paint at first Read More
