How can I calibrate this thermometer using ice water?
To calibrate your thermometer, fill a glass with 3 parts ice and 1 part water. Give it a stir. If your thermometer has a wrench built into the sleeve, insert it into the sleeve now. If it does not, skip this step. Place the thermometer into the ice water with at least a depth of 3 inches. Wait until the thermometer’s reading stops moving.
If your thermometer has a calibration wrench on the sleeve: turn the dial until it reaches 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 1 degree Celsius.

A must for every kitchen! Very accurate thermometer and calibrates easily. We use these probes every day and they hold up well. The plastic holder fits nicely in your chef's coat pocket.

Lightweight and easy to carry with you in your kitchen, I keep mine in a drawer next to the over for easy access when I need it to temp meats at home. I like that it has a calibration wrench included with it. It seems to measure temp very quickly and accurately, although I have not had a chance to compare it other thermometers.
