It ends up getting the job done and saves stove top space but within a week the seal gave out so it doesn't close completely and it takes a while for the rice to cook. Also you can not go by the warm/cook button to let you know when it is done so you will still need a timer and to continuously check it and stir frequently as if it were cooking on a stove top. I also wish there was just an off button. You can't just turn it off. You have to either leave it on warm, or cook.
