How can I best maintain the non-stick qualities of this item?
To prevent food from sticking to your non-stick surface, we recommend lightly coating it with oil and wiping off any excess with a soft cloth or napkin. Applying sprays on non-stick coatings can cause food to stick more readily than using a fat or oil. Sprays can leave a glue-like coating, often missed during the cleaning process, which will begin to build up and cause foods to stick. Additionally, metal utensils and abrasive cleaners should not be used with non-stick surfaces to prevent scratching and damaging the coated surface.
What is one standard “rice cup?”
A traditional Japanese “rice cup” does not equate with a standard US measuring cup. Instead, one “rice cup” is equivalent to ¾ cup or 180 mL. Each cup is approximately 1 serving of rice.

Bought on Feb 25th, lasted 2 months and doesn't turn on to cook, always switches bak to warm only. Had same one previously that worked for two years so went back and got another, lasted two months. Same staff, same use. :( Not sure if they have cheaper out on parts or what, but need a new one already.

fast shipping with this company. i usually expect a week or more for big deliveries, but these showed up in a matter of days. perfect size for my operation, and consistent cooking keeps human error to a minimum. my last Avantco rice cooker lasted over a decade of commercial use, and i would expect the same from these.

Do not buy unless you want you rice to come out gummy and totally overcooked and brown on the bottom. The smaller size works perfectly, the larger one doesn’t work at all. Total waste of money.

I bought this rice cooker 15 months ago , it broke before the year. I call for the warranty and they send me a new one., but broke again after 5 months . I call again and they told me the one year warranty expired . Don’t buy this product .

This unit can shut off and switch to warm randomly. I read other reviews and thought it had to do with the weight of rice, but I tested it at multiple services with under 10c and the full capacity, and each time the unit shut off halfway through cook time.
