Avantco 17818512 Shelf for CPW-68-HC, CPSS-68-HC, CPW-47-HC, and CPSS-47-HC

These do not last long. I replace them every other year. I wish the metal handles would be more durable and not break off so easily from day to day operational wear.

These shelves are total pieces of garbage. They are very poorly welded together and just fall apart within a year. I have now had my two avantco dipping cabinets for almost 2 years now and since then have had to replace ten of the twelve racks, and even now I am needing to replace probably 8 this time. Just absolute trash. I would say avoid buying these but if you’re like me and need to save money in your appliances going cheap on the dipping cabinets, then you are going to be buying lots of these. The manufacturer needs to do better. This is pretty sad and unacceptable.

I’ve had to replace this shelf multiple times, and unfortunately the quality just isn’t there. The shelf is supposed to hold two 3-gallon ice cream tubs, but it breaks far too easily and usually only lasts 3–5 months at best. To make matters worse, some replacements I’ve ordered have even arrived already broken from shipping, which shows how fragile the part really is. Since this shelf is essential for holding the tubs in place, it becomes very challenging to operate the dipping cabinet properly when it fails. Honestly, this should be considered a deal breaker when deciding whether to purchase this unit — the constant replacements and downtime make it extremely frustrating to work with.
