Anchor Hocking 1816 16 oz. Beer Mug - 24/Case

I bought a case of these mugs for my bar and had to discard three of them within the first week because they started chipping around the rims. My team does not normally break glasses especially because everything is hand washed. We have some very thin wine and rocks glasses that have held up for years, so as heavy as these mugs are, I would have thought they would be sturdier and be able to hold up against normal use. I won't buy them again.

These mugs are a good size and sturdy built but what else would you expect from Anchor Hocking? I sell these in my engraving shop and they are a popular item. I can stick them on my laser engraver and not worry about the mug being so thin it will break. Overall this is a great little mug (but not to little). Once again I cannot image finding a better deal then the Webstaurant Store on this mug.

Nice thick glasses. I was not going to spend the money for the A&W ones, I have two already, and these are actually just as thick as my A&W mugs. Great to keep in the freezer for floats, drinks, etc. Adds that "Professional" touch to your root-beer floats when company is over. Makes it nice and slushy as long as you start with fridge-cold soda!

Anchor Hocking produces quality glassware that is thick and sturdy. A great brand for heavy use bars like ours. The 14 ounce beer makes a great everyday serving mug. It really holds up well after multiple uses.

My restaurant is fully equipped with a bar, so we have a pretty heavy demand from avid beer-lovers, and these Anchor Hocking mugs certainly do the trick! And at 16 oz. everyone is happy!
