Amana RCS10DSE Medium Volume Stainless Steel Commercial Microwave - 120V, 1000W

This microwave worked very well for us for a little over a year. However, now it is not turning on consistently when we turn the dial. We will have to replace it, and now it's out of warranty. I will not buy another Amana, since I think a microwave should last a few years at least. I don't want to have to buy a new one every year. Very disappointed.

Great microwave at a great price. Some people would say just buy a regular microwave. If you have high volume needs and want durability you will see the difference.

I brought two of these in 2018, which are still in operation as of April 1, 2024. I needed these for commercial use, since we no longer provide microwaves in our pantries, but use the two in our cafe for all 300+ personnel. Prior to these, we had the typical domestic microwaves which we had to replace every couple of years. These have really shown to be durable, and fit for commercial use. It's unfortunate that I see some reviews that speak negatively of the quality. Hopefully, it's just a bad device that's come off the production line - it happens. Only noticed those because I'm here to purchase an additional unit. If the experience or quality of the machine has diminished I will submit an update. But I thought after having these devices for about six years, that it would be helpful to share my experience.

I use this more than "medium" use. It holds up well. Have purchased it many times over the years as microwaves need replacing. Employee have managed to break them from rough use, they have not broken from being over used.

No good. Ordered early in week to be delivered before weekend. Didn't show on day of delivery. Contacted customer service they sent replacement over night shipping to be delivered before weekend. Didn't show until following week. Opened up, plugged in and doesn't work. Instead of WebstaurantStore overnighting me new one and taking back the brand new unit that didn't work, they made me go through the warrant company. 2.5 weeks later I may get my Microwave next week... horrible customer service.

This microwave is a BEAST. We have multiples of this appliance and they have never let us down. We use it heat icings, and glazes for our doughnut shop. Would rate 10/10

We have four microwaves for use in the kitchen. This one is the only one that is a work horse!

We keep a few of these on the shelf. Bought one in December of 2022 and just opened the box and is was dead in 48 hours. Last one lasted 3 months. They ain't what they used to be in the model! When they work we love them and it's very much a medium use need for you seasonal business.

I would second the one-star rating. Our experience after purchasing several of the same model is to expect to get only a year from this microwave in a medium-use situation. We like it because of the dial, but the unit fails quickly. Do not purchase.

Too early to access

Purchased 3 of these, Out of the box none of them worked. Tried them at different locations, plugs etc. Amana was quick to get someone to come out and repair them. They lasted about a year before failing.

We just had ours go up in flames - I mean it actually caught fire. It was about 3 years old. I was concerned about the fire but had a back up (that I bought a year ago; always planning ahead). It came out of its box today to replace the one that caught fire. However, this immediately quit working. It keeps over heating and turning itself off. We can heat up one sandwich and then it turns itself off for about 5 minutes until it is cool enough to work again. Of course, we quit using it and now have to buy another microwave.

I purchased this microwave over 6 months ago. Delivery was fast and smooth. The product was as described. It is powerful and doesn't take up much room. I would recommend this product.

Great quality and easy to use. We have had this item for about a month and it works great. Will follow up after a year or so of use.

Unit worked for 3 years, but has now pooped out. It takes a loooong time to heat product up to the correct temp: 5 quarts soup takes 3-4 turns at 8 minutes each (depending on how thick the soup is) and pulled pork is just about the same. We used our microwave approximately 40-50-ish times a day. Pros: it heats consistently and doesn't scorch too bad on the sides of whatever vessel we're using to heat product. The dinger bell is easy to hear but not obnoxious. I agree with another user that the fan going after the unit is opened and closed is a nice feature to help cool and dry it off. I absolutely love this thing. Powerful, spacious, easy to turn the dial and walk away. Never used one before my current job, and boy was I missing out. Save yourself the trouble and just buy this thing.

been using this constantly for almost 2 years now. works well. Only complain is the plug in the back can get lose sometime causing the microwave to go off. I create a little slack and the issue goes away

The Amana Medium Volume Stainless Steel microwave is really a kitchen workhorse. Don't let it's "Medium" volume fool you. We can fit extra large pyrex jars as well as lunch boxes inside, and it just keeps working. Very reliable, powerful, and equally important, it's very easy to clean inside. Smooth surfaces allow easy cleaning of spills and food explosions. Highly rated and great value for money.

amana mircowave it great warm up my mexican food it my restaurant. i strongly recommended bigger size. the reason is you can fit the bigger plate. this unit cooks from top to bottom. the smaller only cooks for the bottom. highly recommended it.

We don’t use the microwave very often, but when we do, we beat the crap out of it. The end of cycle signal is loud enough to hear but not obnoxious like the previous model we had. I’d like to see a different cook timer on it, because you can’t really set a precise time, but that’s seems to be ok for our purposes.

After 3 years my older model stop working. We got this to replace it, the newer model can set to ten minutes vs 6 minutes that we have. We are small family business and we use the microwave at least 40+ a day, 6 days a week. I hope this will out last the growing demand.

Great microwave! The size is perfect for our restaurant. It heats very well and the pre-set setting are great for fast heating! The stainless steel makes it super easy to clean as well. Definitely would recommend.

Easy to clean, easy to use. We use it in our cafe to make grits and oatmeal and to heat up soups, etc. This microwave gets the job done and is a great addition to our cafe.

I bought 2 of these for my kitchen and after 1 year and just out of warranty 1 of them just quit working. However for a sub $300 commercial microwave I cannot say enough good things about this microwave. It stands up to regular use and is a good value for the money.

Great product, gets a lot of use. Easy to use with the dial. I appreciate the fan running for a few seconds after using since my last microwave rusted on the inside from moisture.
