In general, melamine is not microwave or oven safe. You can use a commercial dishwasher to clean your melamine items; however, top-rack only is recommended for residential dishwashing units. I purchased this plate as a sample along with 2 other sample plates. This one is my winner. I was nervous it would stain but I also wanted life proof plates that would survive even the outdoors so I put it through it's paces. I tried wet turmeric (in a matter of seconds that will stain my quartz countertop) on the plate and let it set for 5 hours along with ketchup. These plates do not stain, I don't know how that is possible. They clean up great in the dishwasher and have had no issues with knife marks. They are samples so I'm kind of trying to destroy them to ensure I get the most durable high quality plate and all three did great. I do wish it was a warmer white but the cost of it is so affordable that I'll be ordering a case or two despite that. I highly recommend.

These are quite light easy to wash perfect size for a regular size meal. They dry up quickly specially like just on the dishwasher but also by hand you can write them up quickly and they don’t really get any scratch when you eat on them like oh they are used daily all the time and there’s no marks on them

I LOVE THESE PLATES! They go in the dishwasher withe ease - food slides right off! They are the perfect size for an adult meal but still easy enough for a child to carry. They do get very hot if you put them in the microwave (I wouldn't recommend). Easy to stack - easy to clean!
