When using equipment that will be draining water such as kitchen sinks, dishwashers, and steam equipment, it is important to use indirect draining to prevent potential backflow.

This floor sink includes 6" of sump depth and a 12" x 12" basin that allows for a substantial air gap to collect any potential backflow, instead of it coming back up into your kitchen equipment. A domed PVC strainer is designed to prevent splash-back and blocks any larger solids such as food or debris from getting into your p-trap and drain lines, which could result in clogging and service calls to a plumber.

Constructed of durable cast iron and lined with a white acid-resistant coating, this sink is built to withstand the wear-and-tear of a busy commercial kitchen. Rounded corners are easy to clean and reduce areas in which bacteria can build up. It has a 3" push-on connection that will hook up to drain pipes without needing any soldering.
