Prime surfaces with this Zinsser Cover-Stain primer! This oil-base primer creates a smooth, uniform base for paint. It is used to block stains and hide dark colors on interior and exterior surfaces. It can be used over bare wood, flat paint, and spackling, and it is great for hard-to-paint objects such as furniture, posts, railings, and shutters. Plus, it provides excellent adhesion to dense surfaces such as glossy paint, laminates, and ceramic tile. Its classic white color makes it a great neutral base.
This primer sticks to surfaces without sanding. It seals water, smoke, and nicotine stains, and it is especially ideal for penetrating and sealing exterior wood to prevent tannin bleed. It dries fast and flat, making it ready for a recoat in just 1 hour. This primer has a practical coverage of approximately 10 to 12 sq. ft. per can.
