It serves it purpose for us. It close tightly to keep liquid from spill. Its plastic so it will not last forever. We change it out when it wears out.
This spigot takes a lot of heat for leaking on multiple containers, at this price point it works fine, if you have a lazy staff that doesn't pay attention then go spend a lot more money for a container with a pro spigot, this one is fine if you pay attention.
