We've used a Wells unit for many, many years (I'm talking like 20+ years). Over time we've had to replace the plates due to regular wear and tear which is completely understandable. However what we have noticed over the years is that the quality from Wells has dropped severely. What we noticed is that every time we had to replace a plate, they wouldn't last quite as long. It's finally gotten to the point where I was sick of replacing the plates and I assumed it must be something with our old unit we had so I decided to buy this Wells unit from Webstaurant.
