This Watts 2.1 gallon potable water expansion tank is designed to absorb the increased volume of water created by thermal expansion, maintaining balanced pressure throughout the potable water supply system. This tank helps ensure the system pressure is maintained below the relief setting of the relief valve. Featuring a durable expansion membrane, this tank prevents contact of the water with the air in the tank. It has a rugged, flexible butyl diaphragm to minimize the loss of the air change and ensure a long and trouble-free life for the system.
This expansion tank has an air pre-charge of 20 PSI and can be used with most standard hot water heaters and storage tanks. It has a 3/4" male connection, a tank volume of 2.1 gallons, and a durable steel outer shell. It has a maximum working temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit with a maximum working pressure of 150 PSI.
