This thing is great at keeping water hot all day. The direct water feed is nice because we set it at a trickle and never have to worry about it all day, just refills slowly as it evaporates. Our first stopped working after 6 months; the replacement stopped working after 7 months. It has a TERRIBLE design! The heating element is permanently fixed right over the drain. Noodles fall under the element and get trapped. They are near impossible to get out unless you get a stick and try to shove them through the drain hole. So hard to keep clean.
